Co-Founder

Samuel A. Revis is currently working on his D.M.A. in Tuba Performance at Arizona State University with Dr. Deanna Swoboda, and he received his M.M. and B.M. at the University of Central Arkansas with Dr. Gail Robertson. Revis has performed with a multitude of ensembles including Pro Music Arizona, the Arizona State Wind Ensemble and Symphony Orchestra, the Salt River Brass Band, the University of Central Arkansas Wind Ensemble, the Conway Symphony Orchestra, and the Symphony of the Southwest. Sam's passion for ergonomic, versatile design has grown throughout his time as a performer as he searched for products that provide comfort, variability, and a professional appearance, which led to the creation of the Tuba Chap.

Courtney Revis is currently working on her doctor of dental medicine degree at Midwestern University in Glendale. She graduated from the University of Central Arkansas with a B.S. in biology, where she played horn and marched in the Bear Marching Band for four years. Dentistry is a field in which hand skills are very important. Ergonomics are also very important to the longevity of a dentist's career, similar to the importance of ergonomics in the longevity of a musician's career. Courtney enjoys putting her hand skills to use in her hobby of sewing. This hobby, along with her background in music and emphasis on ergonomics helped to spark the idea of the Tuba Chap.
